Welcome to my Prints and Patchwork shop. I hope you enjoy it as much as I like making things.
I love colour whether it be in paint or ink or fabric. My quilts take inspiration from the glorious work of Kaffe Fassett. Each quilt usually starts with playing with colours and shapes, trying out new ones. The English Paper Piecing particularly appeals on darkwinter nights. Once I have enough shapes then I arrange and design from there.
The Prints are inspired by my sketchbooks and my many walking adventures. I sometimes use my own photographs for ideas.
I thank the excellent tuition of Lisa Hooper in a lovely weekend workshop at Port William for starting me off with reduction Printmaking. Subsequently a week with Laura Boswell in Kirkudbright has helped me to improve my technique and ideas and was a joy to do.
